A doorway back to the browser arcade.
For years, Flash games lived everywhere: portal homepages, school computer labs, family desktops, shared links, and folders full of bookmarks. They were quick to open, easy to share, and free to be strange. A five-minute experiment could sit beside an enormous adventure, and the next favorite was often one accidental click away.
When browser support for Flash ended, access became harder. The games did not stop mattering, but the simple ritual of pressing Play disappeared. Flashback Arcade rebuilds that doorway. The aim is not to pretend the old web was perfect. It is to keep its creativity available, complete with bold art, tiny loading screens, difficult levels, ridiculous jokes, and ideas that never learned to behave.

Flashback Arcade uses the open-source Ruffle emulator to run archived SWF files inside today's browsers. Nothing needs to be installed. Compatibility varies because the original games were built across many years with different Flash features, but the collection is continually presented with clear controls and straightforward access.
